Welcome to Essential Herb, and my Words n’ Herbs Blog. To all of my customers who followed me here, here's a warm hug and mug of tea!  Thank you for your words of support and kindness on our EssentialHerb Facebook page, and however else you reached me!

Words n’ Herbs Blog is hosted by Annie Doll, MH. I'm still pondering what I want to name it. My Blog will contain interesting topics from herbs & essential oils, related wisdom & traditions, to other educational, lifestyle, and entertaining topics. Is it OK to change your blog name after you run for awhile with it?!

And now, let me sit & hold my goose, and tell you what's been happening since I got de-platformed off Etsy. Geese love herbs; they love to eat herbs right out of your hand. In fact, they will stretch their necks up to chomp down every last bit of green herb that you have growing in your raised bed. Ask me. But, geese make you laugh, so they are the best therapy animals ever, and they can eat all the herbs they want at my house.  

Back to business; I am excited to be moving On & Up with our new site here, and overjoyed to be re-opening after being de-platformed on Nov 5, after nearly a decade and with a flawless record. Can you believe it? Uhh, neither can I, and I grieved when it happened, but Boy HOWDY did I ever need this push to move Onward and Upward.  I’ve been talking for years about the need to build Essential Herb’s own website, so I consider that what was meant for bad, is for good in the end.

For the sake of new customers and new readers here wanting to see some solid credibility, AND for the sake of preservation, here are my Etsy statistics over the last 9.75 years.

• 37,300 Item Favorites
• 5-Star Shop
• 9600 Reviews
• Outstanding record for Fast Shipping & Message Response

I briefly grieved…because I did all that!  That was my identity 5-6 days a week, and ‘poof’ it was taken away. LESSON to us all: if you have a gift and a calling, don’t put your eggs into one basket if they have a record of yanking your basket away and breaking your eggs.  I’ve heard from others that this has happened to them too, and I did not heed. Competitor shops report other shop listings to try to get them deactivated. It is a new world out there, but we are awakening and overcoming obstacles through it, right? My own personal takeaway from the last 10 years is, what did I value the most there, and that is the personal interaction with my customers!  I treasured each of your spirits…your SPICE that you brought into my life through your precious reviews and interaction with me. Mmm, your spice smells great!

So, whenever you read one of my Blog posts, or shop Essential Herb here, you can reach out to me.  If that is not set up YET in the website, it WILL be! We are still working through things and learning. Our son Dillon has been an absolute hero in everything he has done to set up our website, and to patiently teach me how our website operates here. For now, are back up and running with most basics, but have much to add yet.  I want to hear from you. I read your reviews too. I welcome YOUR suggestions and input too, and hope that you enjoy taking this journey with us, as we add new products and categories, including book essentials, homestead essentials, household essentials, supplies and such.

I wonder where Essential Herb will grow next?!  I aspire to host a Podcast, where I can share my passion for herbs and oils, but I wish to broaden the variety of topics to all things pertaining to Wholesome Lifestyle. Topics that are of interest to many of us in the TIMES we live in.  And wow...aren’t they quite the times? Herbs & oils fit right along with the wholesome lifestyle that folks are striving to get back to, and SO many other topics are a PART of that, aren't they?  Haven't you noticed that?!  I just KNOW that y’all feel the same. I know it, because you’re all awakening too. Wholesome kindred spirits and interests are merging together, networking like never before, and we sense the good path, and avoid the wrong path. You know what I mean. I’ll leave it at that for today.

So, what is something wholesome happening in YOUR life right now?  And who can YOU share that with?  Your light shines on a path for others, and you know it. Your spice…your aroma...it draws others to want to be wholesome like you. So, shine your light, and take someone else on YOUR journey onward and upward!  And don't forget that you need a cute goose to hold, who will eat the herbs out of your house and home too.
